Fresh and Fun Kids

It was such an exciting moment for me to watch the Artemis II rocket launch yesterday! I felt a personal connection to NASA’s mission, as this was the very project I worked on last year during the NASA App Development Challenge (ADC), leading the Programming and Data Analysis team for Black Girls Code (BGC). My team and I worked on mapping the rocket’s flight path and identifying which Space Communication and Navigation (SCaN) network antennas would stay in contact with Earth in real time. Watching it soar into space, I felt proud knowing our work is supporting a critical mission. 🚀🌕

The astronauts will orbit the Moon for 10 days, preparing for the first crewed lunar landing of NASA’s Artemis program in 2028.
