*Save for architectural brands I trust in my own home (and our clients’) - PART TWO!

A collection of some of my go-to partners for quality and design excellence especially when it comes to historic homes!

I’m thrilled to be working with these brands on my own project and will continue sharing as there are so many sources used in a large home renovation.

Historic details we love and are worth saving in so many homes!

Upon first touring our Lincoln Park renovation, we sought out the historic elements of the property that made sense to keep or replicate. From original stained glass, to detailed crown moldings and gorgeous fireplaces, there was a lot to save or replicate to honor the home’s long history.

Scroll through to see our favorite details.

Wow!! No joke friends, our last reel went viral. It’s been pretty amazing to see all of the interest in COLOR 🎨 and specifically how to tell a cohesive color story throughout your home or interior. Here a few favorite images from our portfolio with super saturated color. What else do you want to know about color?! We adore this topic and are so happy to be part of the conversation. If you missed the reel, it’s our last post. Xx Claire

A closer look at this kitchen!

It is truly special in Chicago to have such an indoor / outdoor connection. This section of the historic renovation was the new addition. We wanted this space to feel more contemporary than the original section of the house, while still having some traditional architectural details.

The sliders in creamy white with mullions and a subtle molding on the ceiling added a traditional juxtaposition to our sleek cabinetry and stone. Some additional details below!

Stone: Calacatta Turquoise (and quartz on the island). We work hard to make sure the undertones of both stones coordinate.

Cabinetry: White Oak in custom dark brown stain

Hood and walls: Plaster finish in BM Swiss Coffee
