On April 28, I was scammed by a fake landlord who turned violent — he assaulted me, my sister, and my daughter Raniyah, fired a gun inside the apartment, and shut off the power. The police told us it wasn’t safe to stay, and we were displaced on the spot.

Since then, we’ve had to move from place to place, and when I went back to collect our things… everything we owned was gone. He took it all. Clothes. Furniture. Memories. Peace. Gone.

Now I’m trying to rebuild from scratch — as a mother, a student, and a woman doing everything I can to keep going.
