Jason Smith - Relational Intelligence
The present moment asked me to slow down, pause, recover, adapt, rethink, shift my mindset, accept, surrender in a new way or didn’t know was possible, adjust, stabilize, and now rehabilitate. To rebuild the capacity and resilience I had just a few months ago that was gone in an instant. Is it unfair? Yes…AND I choose to see the purpose in it and be renewed in that process. To trust God is preparing me for what’s next as this trial has revealed more than I can currently put into words.

In the TV Series The Chosen the character Nathanael found himself at the end of a dream. He spent his life moving towards becoming an architect and ultimately that path led him to feeling broken, lost, fearful, uncertain, searching for understanding as he sat under a fig tree speaking to God as though he had been forsaken. "Do you see me" was the statement he made and one that we can all relate to in various moments in our lives. We all have a desire to be seen, accepted, acknowledged, understood, and known. However, there are times in life when we are rejected, cast out, pushed out, misunderstood, and lose our livelihood. It can feel like an ultimate ending in your life because you cannot see the next path in an uncertain future but what if all this time you were simply being prepared for the next evolution of you. You were given the skills, capabilities, knowledge, and earned wisdom for this next stage of life that requires more of you in unexpected ways. I find myself using the phrase, "Yes...AND" a lot these days. In the TV Series The Chosen Matthew feels conflicted because no one believes him about Jesus and the fish. A question arises that is one we all often face. Do you believe yourself? Do you know yourself? Do you understand yourself? Are you confident in your beliefs? Are you unshakeable in that belief? And is it a belief or a knowing? Those are very different things. Another statement is that multiple things can be true at the same time and they don't often fit into the box you are trying to put them in for your own clarity and comfort. That's really what most of us are seeking is clarity, comfort, and certainty in a world that is largely uncertain most of the time. This is why compassion and grace are so important for yourself and others. Recognize you will not change the hearts of the many you interact with and that is not your job to do so. The question is can you love them anyway? Get The Source Protocol Today!

While finishing The Chosen Tv Series again I noticed the story of Judas a little bit more. Yes, they have taken creative liberties for story telling and character development. Judas had an attachment to a very specific type of outcome and could not accept that there would be any other way. He believed that the King of Kings would come down and smite the enemy with great and furious power the like no one has ever seen except he couldn't see or accept that Jesus was here for our salvation. Where have you been attached to a story, expectation, or outcome? Get The Source Protocol today! Link in bio and comments.

I just finished watching the Chosen, again, and the one thing that remains clear is that each character is put through trials that make no sense at the time and even when we zoom out seem unfair to have to experience but that's where a dynamic shift is made. You get to have that experience AND it's meant to shape, change, and forge you into who you are becoming as it helps you reveal your purpose by showing you what is important. Can you go through these trials and still have a heart for God. Can you let go of your desires for how you believe things should be and see the bigger picture of what has been asked of you? To see things as they actually are?
