Madness. Utter madness. The hate is no longer undertones, acted out within juvenile, hateful snickers and mean Rudolph games. Folks are empowered everyday by the common cause of focusing fiercly on pointing at the “others” to make them… us… and you, certainly, if not one of them, less then. The voices have penetrated. And accelerated. The echo chambers have burst wide open onto our streets. It’s in the soil and grown tentacles. Simple symbols of joy, of unity, of community have been vilified, gnawed down to ignition point…sparks that light the dim-witted and easily-duped to act with a sense of impunity and “pride”. A new fu***ng crusade, raiding the minds of our kids… indoctrination, dare I. They no longer worry about planting Trojan horses to sway opinion. They mask up, dress down in khakis and march down our main streets with their ignorance and fear guarded from any possibility of their feelings being hurt by heavy artillery. A weird concept of democracy… this math does not add up. Brown shirts carrying not only stars and stripes but the stainless banner… with no sense of irony. MAGA, I guess. These aren’t idle threats. The poison has penetrated. Just like the opioid crisis wasn’t a crisis until it killed your cousin… no sense in repeating and ignoring history. We must act. We must do different. We must do better. Now. In just the few short weeks of our retail being open, we’ve experienced a startling rise in comments meant as daggers, from young and old. This is no “poor us” statement… not by a long shot. Just more “anecdotal” occurrences… those that continue to l**e up the acts of senseless hate. A mother of NINE!!! A mother of NINE!! This is real, folks. Stand up. Do better.
