Three CTA bus passengers were injured in a hit and run in West Town early Friday morning.

A gray truck traveling west on Grand Avenue struck the bus in the 400 block of N. Western Avenue at 1:48 AM then fled the scene.

UPDATE: A 16-year-old boy was shot in Plainfield Thursday night.

He was shot while inside a car in the 24100 block of W. Main Street around 8:50 PM.

He drove himself to the Plainfield Fire Department before being taken to the hospital.

An 18-year-old is suspected in the shooting but is not in custody.

A Plainfield man has been charged with the murder of a 31-year-old found shot inside an Austin home on the West Side.

Tyshon Maurice Guilty, 31, of Steger was found shot in the chest inside a home on the 600 block of N. Latrobe Avenue on July 5 at 2:15 PM.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he died.

Demetric Freeling Jr., 31, of Plainfield was arrested a week later in Joliet on July 12.

A state senator just revealed that Zenobia Weatherspoon babysat her children.

Illinois State Senator Lakesia Collins shared an emotional statement Sunday about Zenobia's death.

She is now calling for a Vulnerable Women and Domestic Violence Alert System, similar to Amber Alerts, for missing and endangered women.
