A look at our TNR package at SVS! 🐈🐾
The feral cats arrive in traps - thanks .feline.project !
They are then sedated and given a full exam by our Doctors. They’re given their vaccines, a microchip, and treatment for any wounds or injuries. It’s tough out there for a feral cat!
The cats are neutered and given an ear-tip, as a marker to know that they have been sterilized.
After they recover in the hospital, the rescue returns them to their caretakers where they can be released back outside over the coming days.
We’re proud to have TNR’d hundreds and hundreds of feral cats, helping reduce the feral and homeless animal population in Chicagoland! 😸😸

Here is a look at the numbers for the last 3 years;

We feel very fortunate to have served the rescue community and we look forward to many more years to come.

Little Posey was facing a deadline at CACC. Luckily, Dr. Kompare was looking for a new foster, and Community Animal Rescue Effort - CAREwas able to scoop her up. Posey has a wound and swelling on one of her rear legs. She will be getting treatment to help her heal. Posey has a safe place to get better and that is what’s important! *picture of wound in comments-don’t look if you’re squeamish*
