💫28💫 i’m so happy to be here

my twenties so far have been an absolute roller coaster if i’m being honest. they have been filled with ups and many downs, life has knocked me off my feet more times than i can count, and i’ve met parts of myself that i would have never expected to be there. i’ve *mostly* outgrown a big chunk of me that was living for others, and i can proudly say i live for me. i’ve become more honest and up front when in conversation, which i’ve learned catches people off guard at times 😬 i dyed my hair a few different colors, including pink, which i truly thought i would never have the courage to do (lolll, and pink was my very favorite 💓), i started a business which i also never thought i would do (the naivety kills me.)

i have maintained and nurtured the relationships i have with my best friends from all periods of my life, they are my anchors. what any woman does without a circle of supportive, loving, and likeminded girlfriends i have no idea, and i never want to know. i’ve grown into who i am while being in a long term relationship with the man i met when i was 19, and boy have we come a long way. we have chosen each other every day even when it wasn’t easy, and he is a huge part of the reason i have grown into someone i am proud to be. now we are parents to the biggest blessing in our world 🐾 and as he snuggles and digs into my lap right now, i’ve never felt luckier.

i love the life i have created for myself, my little family in this big city. i always have a good feeling about the new chapter ahead of me, and though it’s been a rocky ride to 28, i’ll always stay hopeful that the next year might be the best one yet. here’s to another trip around the sun and gratitude that i get to experience it. we don’t know how much time we have here, simply waking up with a healthy and able body is the biggest blessing of them all.
