Last week, Dan & I popped into Chris’s school for a brief family reading session hosted by his classroom—a fun Friday morning adventure featuring a diverse selection of books and some hot chocolate, fittingly named a “StarBOOKS Family Tasting”! ☕️📚😄

However, participating in these fun family-friendly school activities with our 6-year-old in our 👨🏻‍🦲👩🏻🧑🏻‍🦰🧑🏿‍🦱comes with its own set of challenges.

More often than not, a classmate might raise an eyebrow 🤨 at our distinctive family appearance—yep, it happened again yesterday!

But hey, every puzzled look 🤔🤔🤔 is just another chance for us to share a bit of our family story (with Chris on board) and sprinkle a bit more understanding around!

In these moments, we don’t just respond to questions; we seize the chance to speak positively about his birth mom and bio siblings, embracing the that defines our .

Our ultimate goal?
