Illinois Human Rights Commission

A busy March in our beautiful capital of City of Springfield Illinois.
Last week, Commission staff testified in committee about important legislation (HB3144) sponsored by Leader Eva-Dina Delgado in the Illinois House and Leader Elgie Sims Jr. in the Senate.
We thank them and and all of the co-sponsors for their leadership and support.
This week, the Commission was honored to present its FY 2026 budget request, as authorized by Governor JB Pritzker to the Illinois General Assembly.
Thanks to our board chair, Selma D'Souza and our senior management team of Claudia Ortega, David Larson and Brian Weinthal for their preparation and attendance in these important opportunities to share the work of Illinois Human Rights Commission with our elected representatives.
