Every strong safety culture is built by people who choose to get involved, challenge the status quo, and look for better ways to protect those around them. At USG, we are proud to recognize a group of Safety Champions who are doing exactly that.

With just two to five years of service, these employees are still early in their USG careers, yet they have already emerged as influential safety leaders within their teams and facilities. Through their willingness to take ownership, participate in safety initiatives and drive meaningful improvements, they are helping shape safer workplaces for today and the future.

Their contributions span a wide range of efforts—from strengthening safety programs and training resources to improving pedestrian safety, hazard recognition, incident prevention, workplace organization and employee engagement. They have embraced opportunities to lead committees, support investigations, mentor coworkers, analyze safety data, and implement solutions that make a measurable difference.

What stands out most is their commitment to growth. These Safety Champions continue to learn, develop new skills, and expand their influence while demonstrating that safety leadership can begin at any stage of a career. Their actions show that creating a safer workplace is not the responsibility of a few—it is a shared commitment that depends on engaged employees across every function and facility.
