Winter Dance Forever 26’

I’ve really been trying to process how I’ve been feeling since the trip to Amsterdam. To be honest, it’s a lot I’ve dreamed about being at Summer Dance ever since I first saw the competition. I remember watching people like Waydi, Paradox, Angyil, Frankie J, Toyin, Icee & Batalla on this stage & just daydreaming about myself being on the platform. I’ve never felt so secure and so vulnerable in a dance space like this. Being where I’m from these type of opportunities to travel overseas is extremely rare. A lot of people don’t understand that I’ve watched this event for 10 years before being able to make it dream become reality. Transparently, a lot of people may think that my biggest fear is losing, but in all reality, my biggest fear is under performing and not showing my best and pure self when I am in these dance spaces. I don’t take any opportunity for granted because I know it can be taken away in a heartbeat! I thank God for his grace & the gift that he’s given me with to share with the world. I would like to say thank you to for allowing me to infiltrate the space, my BIGGEST GOAL was to hear say “NERO THA PROFESSAAAA”🤣😭 mission accomplished I won’t forget about our conversation either🫡. Thank you to my Uncle for keeping me active & consistently pouring into my life & my dance you’re the greatest truly. & for always taking the time to answer all my silly questions, seeing a vision in what I have to offer & being a driving force as to why I morphed my dance completely. I call myself a movement theorist based on the fact that I do move in theory as far as Jerkin’ being the base of my style and it being able to work in settings like Hip-Hop and House & yeah I don’t think it’s a theory anymore lol.. Thank you to everybody who has shown love to my footage, my dance and just pushing me to keep moving forward. I’m going to make sure that I uphold myself to a standard. Stay Cracked, Stay Ready🤓.
