✨ 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 to their cues (facial expressions, gestures, eye gaze). ⁣
✨ 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁 what they’re trying to say and model the words for them. ⁣

👀 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿: ⁣
▫️ Their 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 – Are they surprised, frustrated, or excited? ⁣
▫️ 𝗚𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 – Are they pointing, reaching, or waving? ⁣
▫️ 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 – What are they looking at or interacting with? ⁣
▫️ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 – What’s happening around them that might give you clues? ⁣

Baby looks at a cup and vocalizes: “Uh-uh!” ⁣
👩‍👧 Parent: “Cup? You want the cup?” ⁣

You’re on a stroller walk. Baby looks up and points. ⁣
👩‍👦 Parent: “Oh! An airplane! You see it flying so fast!” ⁣
