My client started a policy for her dad in 2019… due to his extremely poor health he did not qualify for immediate coverage and he was placed with what we call a final expense graded policy which would normally consist of a 2 year waiting period!

So for the first 2 years if he were to pass away the insurance company will refund all the premium plus a little interest that’s standard!!!

The thing is every insurance company creates their own PRODUCTS‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

What Mutual of Omaha says ain’t what TransAmerica said or what Americo said cause they all create their own underwriting guidelines and clauses‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

So guess what her dad was placed in a 10 year waiting period!!

Guess when she found out!??

You right when he died almost 2 1/2 years later!!!
Under the standard terms he would have paid out his full death benefit but because of this clause specific to that carrier he was only paid back premium!!
