Naveekarana Samithi Vs Kottayam Arch Diocese
17 centuries of our existence is in jeopardy on our case against Naveekarana Samithi and the intial verdict was a set back to us. Its our duty as a knanayite to fight and protect our community and its core values till last breath. As an organization KCCNA had joined in the legal fight and hired the best attorneys available and determined to continue the fight even if it take up to Supreme Court.
The current executive had done a good job in mobilizing people and raising funds to pay for legal battle. Chicago KCS paid around $30000 , towards kccna legal funds and many others from other units paid a significant amount to fight our case.
The case is at Hgh Court and we need a strong team in Kccna to continue our fight, raising money and at the same time no compromise to our centuries old endogamous principles.
Shaji Edat had proven his strong leadership in the past as KCS president raising record breaking funds for KCS Hoffman Estate project, and at the same time strong advocate of endogamy in our society.
We need a trust worthy leadership, not someone will throw us under bus for few bucks. There are many questionable practices in the past from Tomy Myalkarapuram when he was a Kccna President. The convention under his leadership was a disaster and he never presented an audited financial report of that convention. Olive Builders were one of the grand sponsor and was promised an office space in Kerala and no one knows who got it and where.
There were many court cases he was involved, when he was KCCNA President and nobody knows the outcome or amount spent from kccna funds. A case in Rome to reverse the 1986 rescript , cost community around $50k and no report was ever presented.
Trust is more important than anything. It's time for fresh and new leadership, not someone who already became President and proved to be a failure. Mistakes happens once, no excuse to repeat the same mistakes.
