John H. White: Pulitzer Prize Photojournalist & living legend! He was my photojournalist instructor at Columbia College many moons back! It all came full circle, meeting with him once again after all these years! John encouraged and believed in me, when my other instructor told me to quit, that I wasn’t cut out to be a photographer. & to be honest, many times I almost did quit.
I almost lost everything. My life is a testimony of faith, strength and courage. And here I stand, still a photographer, taking a leap of faith from my “safe career”, early retiring and deciding to follow my heart, and I have my 3 year old to thank for that, he inspired me to take a gamble on me, and this past year has been absolutely incredible career wise! John I am soo grateful for you, for you eyes, for your encouragement.
Thank you for gifting my son a mini camera, and signing your picture to him!
