🎬"The Wild Robot"Review is posted by Kathryn Rachford “The Wild Robot,” the newest DreamWorks film, pairs a dazzling animation style with a heartwarming story, delivering a beautiful experience. It follows the turbulent life of a robot, Roz (Lupita Nyong’o), who inexplicably finds herself on an uninhabited island looking for someone to serve. As she begins to adapt to the wilderness, she finds herself the sudden caretaker of a baby goose (Kit Connor). Alongside her newfound fox friend Fink (Pedro Pascal), Roz names the gosling Brightbill and raises him as her own. Eventually, Brightbill has to become independent, and we see the difficulties of growing up in a unique family, as well as how hard it can be to not feel as though you belong. "The Wild Robot” (PG) is a beautiful animated film by director Chris Sanders. The movie is based on the bestselling youth novels by Peter Brown. I screened it this week with Patti Petersen a former teacher friend. We both loved it, although agree it's too violent and scary for small children, age 9&10 should be okay.
