Congratulations to our 15th graduation class and our 4th cohort in collaboration with the Chicago Center for Arts & Technology! This remarkable group of students has achieved so much. Each student earned a nationally recognized food sanitation certificate, a table etiquette certificate, OSHA restaurant safety training, and emotional intelligence training, among other essential soft skills. They also spent three weeks in the kitchen with Chef Fershawnda, honing their cooking skills across various cuisines, baking, and mastering kitchen equipment.

These are some student testimonials:

I just want to start by saying I give all praise to God and also my teachers for giving me the opportunity to grow in a field that I have passion for so I salute you guys in higher regards. And to my classmates keep the passion and the dream and just know you only get what you put in it. Because at the end of the day don't nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream so make it a reality. 's the limit 🫡🙏🏽

First, I want to thank God for this opportunity. I almost did not make this class, but god was with me, and gave me a chance. Also, Violet for telling me don't worry they will not refuse you lol! I did it!

I would like to extend my gratitude to the teachers for our culinary class, from successfully passing our test with her amazing personality, Jasmine to cooking with our exceptional famous, and loving chef. You both are outstanding, and I appreciate being part of such an amazing group. I feel fortunate to have spent six weeks together, sharing laughter, jokes, and cooking experiences as a team. Love you guys, and we will miss you all. 😞 Let's keep in touch 💕✌️

Introducing culinary students to a diverse range of foods and cooking techniques is vital for several reasons. We want to expose them to various cuisines which fosters an understanding and appreciation of different cultures. Different foods bring unique flavors and textures. Understanding how to work with a variety of ingredients helps students develop their palate as well. Plus it was delicious!😍🥖🍛😋🦐
