Finally named one of the baby chicks that hatched in Kentucky on May 3rd.

Named after the rebellious angel that she is.

Slowly introducing my teeny tiny raptors to my full grown tiny raptors, with adult supervision of course.

The chicks are still too little to stay in the big girls coop alone. They have their own area with a heat lamp inside the house, and it will remain that way for about 6 more weeks. After that they will be big enough and have enough adult feathers to join the flock. Until then, their fuzzy butts will stay inside with momma and Di!

I’m very proud of my ladies for being so good around the babies. They were definitely curious, but patient and didn’t show any aggression. Those are great signs!

For those of you who have recently started following my page, Hi! Let me introduce myself.. My name is Kellie. I live in Chicago with my dog Diamond and my ten hens who I call my Tiny Raptors!

I’m a full time paramedic and part time firefighter. When I’m not at work, I am a proud dog and chicken mama! I am currently in Kentucky visiting my family and picking up my newest Tiny Raptor members.

I started this little business of selling fresh farm eggs on the NW side of Chicago last summer and have been entertaining y’all ever since. Thanks for joining us!
