The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, received a delegation from Portage Energy Group, Canada, today.
The visit aimed to discuss the Asantehene's upcoming trip to Canada and key projects benefiting the Asante Region, particularly Greater Kumasi.
The delegation, including Craig Latimer (CEO), Michael Southam (CFO), and Stephen Akpakwu (CCO), outlined their two-fold mission:
To address waste management issues in the city through a forensic examination and conversion of waste into power.
They also expressed hope of seeing the Asantehene in Canada, where he is scheduled to address about 40,000 members of the diaspora at the ‘World Cup Business Summit’.

Judge Linda Sackey has become the first Ghanaian American to serve as a circuit court judge in Illinois.
She was appointed to the bench on 24 January 2025 and is set to run in the March 17 primary election.
