In 1929, Gilbert Stanley Underwood redesigned the lobby of the depot. The wooden Romanesque interior was replaced with a trendy Southwestern theme. Underwood designed multiple UP railroad stations, including the depot in Torrington, Wyoming, now part of the Homesteaders Museum.
