Susan Sinelnik and her daughter Lily, traveled to Cheyenne from Charleston, SC to share their family's heirloom of Ft. Laramie with staff from the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office, the Wyoming State Museum, the Wyoming State Archives, Ft. Laramie National Historic Site, and the Fort Caspar Museum. The piece was featured on PBS's Antiques Road Show on August 8, 2015.
The piece is a watercolor on fabric and includes a picture of Ft. Laramie and the roster of the 11th Ohio that was stationed at the Fort around 1864. Analysis of the piece by the museum staff, believes the piece was done by Charles Fredrick Moellman prior to Caspar Collins death in 1865.
Richard Collier and Suzie Taylor took digital images of the piece for the agency's record.
