Another heat wave is here! 🥵🌡️

Extreme heat can affect everything from your passengers to your tires, battery and more. A little preparation saves lives and prevents breakdowns! ⤵️

WYDOT was recently awarded not one but TWO federal BUILD grants from the U.S. Department of Transportation 🎉

One of the winning projects involves building passing lanes and maintenance turnarounds, in addition to pavement rehabilitation, on US 20/WYO 789 along the Wind River Canyon Scenic Byway, as well as on parts of US 20/26 between Shoshoni and Casper.

The other winning project will allow WYDOT to compile and prioritize areas on the National Highway System in Wyoming in need of commercial truck parking.

With these two winning projects, WYDOT has received more than $172.8 million in competitive federal grants in the last five years 💪

KEMMERER AREA TRAVELERS: Crews are wrapping up work on setting the concrete sections of the wildlife overpass on US 189 South of Kemmerer. Minimal construction delays will resume after today!
