Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum

What is WyoGives? It is Wyoming’s biggest 24-hour online day of giving, bringing the whole state together to support the local nonprofits that keep our communities vibrant!
On July 15, you can celebrate this powerful day of generosity by helping keep the spirit of the American West alive! Every single dollar donated to the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Old West Museum during this 24-hour event goes directly toward bringing our history and heritage to life.
This year, your WyoGives support will directly fund three incredible priorities:
A New Education Room & Youth Supplies: We have expanded into a larger, modern education space, but we need your help to fill it! Your gift funds the crucial supplies to engage our youth, including folding tables, interactive touchscreens, a hands-on 3D horse skeleton, and a kid-friendly Frontier Town Storefront.
Preserving a Historic 1930 Ford Model A: We have a rare opportunity to acquire the actual historic pickup truck that carried President George H.W. Bush down Capitol Avenue for the CFD opening day parade in 1990! We need funding to support the purchase and transportation of this vehicle from Minnesota to its home in Cheyenne.
“100 Years of Parades” Exhibit: This upcoming exhibit honors a century of community volunteers, the Union Pacific Railroad, and the six cornerstone ranching families who built our legacy. We need your financial support to fund the rare photographs, artifacts, oral history recordings, and immersive displays that will bring this community story to life.
Your support ensures these incredible stories ride forward for generations to come. For more detailed information about these projects and how your donations help, please visit https://www.oldwestmuseum.org/wyo-gives.

Happy 250th Birthday America!
Today we celebrate 250 years of America's story and the people, places, and traditions that continue to shape our nation. We hope your day is filled with celebration, community, and gratitude.
The museum is closed today in observance of the holiday, but we'll reopen tomorrow, Sunday, July 5. We invite you to visit and explore our special America 250 exhibit, featuring six U.S. presidents who visited Cheyenne or Cheyenne Frontier Days™, and discover the connections between our local history and the American story.
Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!
