Holy moly I haven’t posted here in 5 months 😬

Photos from over the winter and holidays last year. 🎄

Photo dump from the last 2 months. We are moving along from summer to fall and then back to summer again. 🤪 I really wish the temps would stay consistent! 🍁 🍂

(1) We celebrated my son’s 11th birthday and took him to the beach in North Carolina for celebration.

(2) This year he wants to be the Plague Doctor for Halloween. I think its a pretty cool costume. 🎃

(3) My roses are blooming beautifully, even in fluctuating temperatures. 🌹

(4) We had the rare opportunity to capture the aurora borealis here in Virginia. We couldn’t see much with the human eye, but the camera lens was able to capture red and purple hues. We”ll take it!🌌

Summer is finally starting to wind down and cooler temperatures are creeping in. We ventured out rarely this summer because of the heat, but we did manage to squeeze in some local window shopping, toy shopping, a quick weekend at Chesapeake Bay, and some occasional front porch storm watching. We are not summer people. 😆 🥵

We did some much needed landscaping work this summer by planting a row of rose trees by the front porch and a garden border by the driveway. The Japanese beetles were awful this summer. I spent many late afternoons picking them off my roses.

However, the hummingbirds were quite a treat this year! I ended up placing two feeders out on the porch because there were so many. 😊

We started our 5th year of homeschooling the first week of August and it’s going well so far, even though someone still complains about doing schoolwork. 🤦🏻‍♀️

We are all ready for fall weather! 🍁 The heat and bugs can take a hike.

I have no new content to share for Valentine’s Day, so Im posting an oldie of my favorite guy. Happy Valentine’s Day! 💘
