(Romans 5:1-5)Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope makes us not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
As children of God we have been justified through and by placing our faith in Christ.
Justification is our position in Christ. It's what Jesus did for us, by taking our sins upon Himself. The Bible says he speaking of Jesus who knew no sin became sin for us. Justification is the action of declaring or making us righteous in the sight of God.
We love him because he first loved us.
(Psalms 101:1-4) A Psalm of David.} I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.
2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
4 A froward heart shall depart from me:
It was the desire of David's heart to walk before God with a pure heart. As the Apostle Paul said in (2 Cor. 7:1) Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
In (Deut 7:6) God chose Israel to be a holy nation and a holy people.
In (1 Pet 1:15)The apostle Peter tells us to be holy like the one who called us .
As a child of God Holiness should be a matter of my heart, and the position of my heart is how I live my life before God. None of us are perfect, that's why Paul said, "perfecting Holiness" in the fear of God. When I say it's a matter of my heart I'm saying we are to practice living a Godly life before God and the world. And the position of my heart it comes down to what I set my affections on. It was David's desire to walk before the Lore with a perfect and pure heart. That's what he set his affections upon. He set his affections upon God, His desire was to live a life that was pleasing to God. The matter of his heart was to please God. That's why we can read about the position of his heart, after he had sinned as he makes the matter of his heart to seek God's forgiveness. In (Psalms 51)
David writes, Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.” Lord help us to walk before you with a pure heart, perfecting Holiness in our devotion to you.
