The Fulton School was one of six area schools chosen to receive 2026 Innovator Grants through the Innovative Technology Education Fund (ITEF). These competitive grants help schools in the region implement innovative educational technology and creative solutions for students in kindergarten through grade 12.

There's a safe space created when classmates re​ad to one another. It fosters confidence, lowers stress, and builds trust.

For ​n​early 120 years, the child-focused approach that Dr. Maria Montessori,​ an Italian physician, developed for educating children has been transforming​ schools around the globe. As soon as you enter a Montessori classroom, you feel the​ difference. Montessori classrooms are immediately recognizable. You will see children​ working independently and in groups, often with specially designed learning materials;​ deeply engaged in their work; and respectful of themselves and their surroundings.​

This spring we were so happy to visit with former student, Colin Hennessey​. He attended The Fulton School (the St. Albans campus) from preschool through 5th grade. He stopped by our current campus on White Road in April for a tour.

While he was here, he spotted former teacher, Dr. Deborah Steurer. What a great morning of sharing memories of the 1-2-3 classroom.

Colin graduated from Auburn University and is currently a financial advisor at Edward Jones. He is married with a child on the way. Great seeing you, Colin!
