Unit To Back Outdoors

Saturday, January 4, marks the end of deer season here in Virginia. We were fortunate to be able to get out with a great group for some deer drives in the last few days of the season. Although we didn’t get a lot of deer, we got some quality bucks and had an absolute blast. We’ve also taken advantage of the colder weather and the influx of ducks to get out and do some waterfowl hunting. We look forward to a few more duck hunts, some fishing, and before we know it we’ll be out chasing turkeys in the spring! Thanks to everyone for your continued support!!!

We had a great couple of days at Smith Mountain Lake last week as we took a group of first responders from central Virginia out to do some fishing and enjoy a couple days of relaxation after a critical incident. We were incredibly fortunate to spend our nights at “RelAxin Hard” courtesy of our friends at . This incredible home and property is as exactly what these guys needed for a few days of decompression by the water. We enjoyed an evening tour of the lake with some amazing sunset views and followed it up with incredible steaks from . The remainder of the evening was spent by the fire before catching a few hours of sleep. The following morning came too soon, but the guys were more than excited to get out on the water with Wicked Striper and chase some fish. After catching and cleaning the days fish, the afternoon was spent with college football and plenty of trash talk. The following morning, and everyone’s departure, also came too soon. We are super appreciative of everyone who assisted us with this event and for those who participated!
