I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous walking in. It’s been a minute since I’ve done a class this size. New city, new crowd, first time in Kentucky.

But then I looked around.

9AM class. If you’ve been to barber events, you know how that usually goes. Half-empty room, people still getting coffee.

Not this time.

They were there. Early. Locked in. And as the class went on, more people kept walking through the door.

That moment changed the whole energy for me.

I looked out and saw barbers who were tired of copying steps, and genuinely ready to understand why things work. That’s a different kind of student.

That’s who I built this for.

So we broke it down the only way I know how:

You don’t cut hair. You respond to it.
