I sure don’t feel that 3mph wind they claim is happening. 😩
Yes. It’s June. It’s hot in June in the piedmont of South Carolina. I’m not pretending that’s new, unexpected, or any other overly dramatic things. But it is hard on the system when it goes from moderately warming, with several unusual below average days thrown in to take out garden plants and lull us into a false sense of security, to brutal. It didn’t get below 70° at my house last night. It’s stressful on us and the animals.
It is so hot out there! I am trying to give the ducks a chance to swim and cool down, ducks have a high body temperature already, and I tried to be nice and share some watermelon. They were not tempted! They did eventually eat it, but it took some time. 🤪
Blanche just slips into a stupor more than either of my boys when she’s in full on belly rub stage. She wiggles a little to guide you to the sweet spots, then just settles in for the experience. 😂
