Hawthorne Christian Academy

Graduation 2026 was a wonderful celebration of the accomplishments of our Senior and Kindergarten students. Mrs. Cassady opened the ceremony and welcomed the graduates, family, and guests. Hawthorne was honored to have Dr. Courtney Wright deliver a God honoring final challenge to serve the Lord and follow His plans for your life. Pastor Daniel Wightman of Orrs Baptist Church prayed and gave a blessing to the graduates. Mr. Cassady created a year in review video "Lead On Good Shepherd", which premiered at the ceremony. Graduation was a touching and beautiful finale to another great year at Hawthorne. HCA is proud of these young people and is honored to have a small part in helping educate and prepare them for their next steps in life. Thank you to our faculty and staff who make Hawthorne a special place to learn and grow in the Lord.

Hawthorne experienced an epic field day on Friday! HCA students enjoyed inflatables, water slides, hay rides, a foam machine and much more as they spent the morning enjoying all of the activities. It was a great time of fun and an entertaining way to make lasting memories of the 2025-2026 school year. We Are Hawthorne!

Hawthorne Christian Academy is honored to have Dr. Courtney Wright as the Commencement Speaker for the 2026 Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, May 28th at 6:00 PM in the church sanctuary. The public is welcome and invited to attend as we celebrate our Kindergarten and High School graduates.

Dr. Courtney Wright is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who faithfully serves our community through her work at MUSC Health–Lowry's Primary Care. A proud graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she earned both her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and her medical degree, she went on to complete her residency at Prisma Health Midlands, equipping her to provide comprehensive care across all stages of life.

Dr. Wright has a strong clinical focus on chronic disease management, including obesity, diabetes, and hypertension, and is deeply committed to improving health outcomes—especially among underserved populations. She is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Wright is a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a dedicated leader in both her church and the community. Her life reflects a commitment not only to excellence in medicine, but to faith, service, and impact.

THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported Hawthorne's Honor Society "Fun Run for the Philippines"!

We had over 50 participants run, walk, and conquer the Cross Country course to raise money for the Una Free Will Baptist Church's mission work. The Lord truly blessed us with gorgeous weather, and seeing everyone get covered in color powder at the finish line was easily the best part!

A special thank you to our incredible Honor Society students for their hard work. This is definitely going to become a new Hawthorne tradition!
