Sat in on Sandyston’s Township Committee meeting today, with a quick stop at Montague Town Hall, to hear what’s top of mind locally.

In both towns, storm response and vegetation management were front and center. NJ's 24th District is going to press the BPU for answers and action.

We also discussed the long-term sustainability of the State Health Benefits Plan and the more than $50 million in delinquent premium payments I uncovered yesterday.

While small towns pinch every penny, their budgets are strained by unreasonable state mandates, and their taxpayers are expected to foot the bill for big-city bailouts. That’s what’s top of mind when I’m talking with beleaguered taxpayers.

Now it’s the grass? It’s time FIFA heard the word “no.”

FIFA has no right to sell state property. Period.

Governor Sherrill can and must put a stop to this.
