Severely high temperatures will extend through the 4th of July holiday weekend. The Heat Index shown above means how the temperature feels on the human body. Below are some important guides to follow.
Drink plenty of water
Limit outdoor activities, take plenty of breaks
Watch coworkers or family for signs of Heat Exhaustion or Heat Stroke
Check on elderly neighbors
Never leave children or pets inside parked vehicles
Avoid drinks that dehydrate like high sugar drinks or alcohol
Stay informed, stay prepared, and have a Happy 4th.
