🌡️ **Extreme Heat Alert! Keep Your Pets Safe** 🐾

As temperatures climb, remember that our furry family members are much more susceptible to heat-related illnesses than we are.

Here are a few ways to help keep your pets safe:
☀️ Walk dogs early in the morning or later in the evening.
💧 Always provide plenty of fresh, cool water.
🌳 Make sure they have access to shade or air conditioning.
🐾 Test the pavement with the back of your hand—if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for their paws.
🚗 Never leave your pet in a parked car, even for a minute.

Watch for signs of heatstroke, including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse. If you notice these symptoms, move your pet to a cool area and contact your veterinarian immediately.

🇺🇸 Holiday Weekend Reminder!

Just a friendly reminder that Providence Veterinary Hospital will be open for limited hours on Thursday, July 2nd (9:00 AM–1:00 PM) and will then be closed for the holiday weekend from Friday, July 3rd through Sunday, July 5th.
We encourage everyone to plan ahead for medication refills and any pet care needs before the holiday.
