there was this one time when played a show in a castle in Pennsylvania and I brought my daughters (one of which had a favorite band at the time called Darlingside) to that show and wanted to surprise them so I told them that we were going to the castle not for a concert, but for a historical lecture.
deception continued all the way up until the lights dimmed and the guys from Darlingside took the stage - this (second slide!) was the absolutely adorable moment of realization. (They are both older now and I have received permission to post their cute faces :)
You, too, could have a (probably less adorable, but still wonderful) moment of musical revelation and pure joy THIS WEEK! On Friday - come experience Darlingside (no castle required) in Bryn Mawr at . It’s outdoors and the forecast is looking BEAUTIFUL.
OH and guess what I am also going to be sharing some songs on this very same night and in the very same spot and stage and how on earth am I so lucky.
COME! Tickets at the link in the bio and just do it!

The place where a large part of my heart will always remain - I grew up here and spent so many days exploring, swimming, working, playing… the “second island” has become more of a small sand bar by now, but the beauty and the spirit here is not diminished.
Had such a wonderful time on a quick trip down to MD with my boys, getting back to my roots in ma bare feet with my mama and family while an osprey mama and papa tended to their own family on a nest perched up there out on the Severn River.
A few bonus pics from this past week in here as well - including one with my fabulous sister who is one of my most favorite people. (along with my other sister who I didn’t get a chance to see!) ❤️
And the last one is my son obviously not having any fun at all at 😂 (kidding - Marsh Creek is *his* favorite spot that I know will hold a special place in his heart just like ILBC holds for me. 📸
