After years of faithful service, Chesapeake Humane Society's longest-standing employee officially quit this morning.

Our medical refrigerator - generously donated several years ago and quietly working behind the scenes every day - has finally called it a career. While it never clocked in, attended meetings, or asked for PTO, it played a critical role in caring for the animals who come through our doors, storing vaccines, diagnostic tests, medications, and other temperature-sensitive supplies that help us provide lifesaving care.

Unfortunately, losing this refrigerator leaves us without a reliable place to store these essential items.
