Homeland Disciples

Just a great experience working with part of the excellent staff at Golden Corral in Virginia Beach. Over this week the staff made 150 fantastic well balanced dinners for us which we served to some of the homeless in Chesapeake.
That’s the way they roll!

Yesterday we were able to break out of the Covid separation issues, the personal issues of a burst Baker’s Cyst and back surgery, and get back into providing eye exams to some of the homeless population in Chesapeake.
Spending several hours at the Chesapeake Resource Center, Dr. Beach was able to provide full eye exams and glasses to seven homeless men and women that were in need of corrective vision. Of the seven people examined two were found to have some degree of glaucoma which will require more extensive follow-up exams that we will provide.

Thanks to one of our major supporters, Coastal Vision, we have been able to provide Walmart and Food Lion gift cards to over 100 families and individuals since mid-March.
We have been so Blessed.

Thanks to those who have continued their support to Homeland over this health concern, we will have provided over 140 hot meals to the homeless by this coming Sunday night. Only God can do things such as this.

We learned of a single mom with 3 children who are in dire need. Mom has had several operations on her hand which has severely limited her ability to work (McDonalds) to provide for her family.
She is over $4000 in debt to her landlord and has immediate needs of $1200 to pay utilities.
We know we’re really in tough times but we need to ask you for your help so we can ease the burdens for this family.
