Resolve Birth Services

All of March’s babies are safely arrived and I have TWO official days off call!!! What should I do?!?!

The Guardian has done a year-long investigative reporting piece on free-birthing and the harms done by this risky choice. But they’ve failed to delve into the underlying causes of why women are choosing to birth outside of the system. A system where induction and surgical birth has become so normalized, we are losing the ability to know normal physiological birth. Ask more questions. Seek more options.

We are so, so proud of our Hannah for persevering after years of working toward this goal! Virginia is so blessed to have a new midwife to serve the community!

Or…if you switch the perspective to a normal, physiological one…”Could obstetrics be the cause of the American maternal health crisis?”
Because midwives were the norm, should be the norm, until about 100 years ago when birth switched to hospitals with doctors and healthy outcomes went up and down and now are currently in an absolutely abysmal state for a high-resource country. Those countries that have much better maternal health outcomes? Utilize midwives. How is it that we cannot see the issue for what it is?! When you try to interfere with normal, when you try to control what is out of our control, when you think that you know better than nature/Creator, you get repercussions. Profit over people leads to poor health outcomes.
