Hedges for Commonwealth Attorney
BALTIMORE POLICE CHIEF plan for surveillance of entire City declared an overreach by Law Enforcement. In a case decided by the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Va., the Police were told the Chief and City Council efforts to curb violent crime - regardless of motive - destroyed the Constitutional balance between liberty and crime fighting. In Chesapeake we have not been confronted with this type approach but the winner in the upcoming election may need to weigh in on efforts like this in the near future. The chosen Candidate must have the depth of experience and judgment to promote lawful methods and help keep the delicate balance we need!

WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME #5: Which candidate served three years inside the four walls of a Correctional Facility? During my time as a Correctional Officer I met criminal behavior face to face. Your perspective broadens when you lock an inmate inside a cold, damp cell, with a hard clang of the heavy steel door....or when you have to wrestle a defiant arrestee to the ground and cuff them...or when you pass the phone around the cell block for inmates weekly call to their children, and at the end when all is quiet, you are surrounded by the sound of hardened men sobbing or weeping. In that job you come face to face with the hardness and humanity of offenders. It is a real life experience and perspective you cannot pick up through Netflix or HBO.
