Look for something FREE and FUN to do this Saturday, May 4th? Join us at Cheney State Park for our annual Outdoor Kansas Kids Day event beginning at 10am near the East Main Boat Ramp and the Marina.
Events will include an animal presentation, fishing demonstration by a KDWP Biologist, archery range, fishing clinic, and more.
Saturday is also FREE ENTRANCE day to Cheney State Park!

Due to the forecasted freezing temperatures next week, all water will be shut off in the park by this coming weekend (with the exception of the frost free hydrants). The electricity will remain on. All showerhouses will be closed. Call the Park Office with any questions 316-542-3664

Road construction for NE 50th ST will begin this week on 8/21/2023. Single lane traffic will begin from 170th AVE to 150th AVE. Traffic will flow WESTBOUND for the duration of the project. Eastbound traffic will be closed for the duration of the project.

MOVIE NIGHT AT CHENEY STATE PARK THIS WEEKEND!

Join us for an outdoor showing of "The Sandlot" on Saturday, July 15th at about 9:15pm. The movie will be near the showerhouse at Smarsh Creek Campground.

Be sure to bring chairs, blankets, bug spray, and something to snack on if you wish.

Cheney State Park is still accepting applications for Camp Host, Gate Host, Office Assistant, Mowers and Seasonal Rangers for this upcoming camping season.
We are looking for hard working and dependable individuals.
