Plants are starting to leave their first home to start their lives at a new home! Thank you to those who have traveled out my way so far to pick out plants. I really appreciate your support!
I'm open by appointment on Sunday and Monday, so just give me a holler if you'd like to schedule a time to stop in.
Take good care and whew, what a windy day it's been!

Hey there!
The butterfly milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa) seedlings are coming along.
I planted seeds from three different sources and only one source has emerged so far. Having done the same cold stratification treatment for all three, I'm baffled at why the other seeds haven't germinated yet or if they will. Questions like "were they not viable? were they too old? are they just slow?" Nonetheless, I'm happy to see the ones that did make it and will pot them up within the next few weeks.
If you don't have an orange butterfly milkweed or two in your garden spaces, they are a beneficial and gorgeous native Kansas prairie plant to have around. A perennial that draws so many pollinators and insects that rely on it for a host plant. Native bees, wasps, beetles, flies, butterflies, skippers, and moths visit once the flowers open up. I've seen several caterpillars, the Monarch and the Unexpected Cycnia Moth, chomping away to their little heart's content on the plant.
Below is my tentative list for spring 2026. I'll be open around mid to late April at the greenhouse on Sundays and Mondays by appointment. Take care!
