🌼 Heads up: I wanted to let folks know that we’re not going to be at the spring Fiber Expo in Ann Arbor at the end of the month. It was a tough choice, but the end of March is really bad timing for us.

You can, however, come see us at the Spring Makers Fest in Charlotte on Saturday, May 17! This will be our first time doing this festival and we’re super excited. ☺️

In case you don’t recognize this face, Dandelion is one of our naturally colored Romeldale/CVM ewes. 💛 Yes, we have more than just Shetlands!

2024 Bellwether Lambs 06/04/2024

Hi folks, here are the Shetland lambs we'll have available this summer! 8 rams, 5 ewes, and 1 wether. All lambs (except the wether, obviously) will be NASSA registered. I've included photos of our ram, Tencat Jack, on the second slide along with micron test results for each parent on each lamb's slide.

Eve's ram lamb 0037 will have a very wonderful, black fine single coat. Poppy and Primrose's ram lambs (0021, 0026, 0027) could go either way and may turn out to be more single coated.

Most other lambs will have a very soft, dense double coat with a good amount of crimp and length.

If you're interested, please drop us a message or an email (contact info is in the first slide).

Later this summer we may have some Gotland x Shetland cross lambs available.

Lambing is in full swing at Bellwether Farm! As of this evening we have 9 lambs on the ground: 5 rams and 4 ewes. Moorits, muskets, greys, and grey katmogets so far. We evaluate lambs at 4-6 weeks and we will have some available at weaning, so please drop us a message if you’d like to get on the list. Until then, enjoy the photos!

We've got a new logo and some updates!

We're excited to be vending next spring at the Ann Arbor Fiber Expo (April 20-21st) and summer at the Michigan Fiber Festival (August 14-18th), with maybe a few extra pop-ups between now and then.

We've begun partnering with other Michigan farms raising Shetland sheep to make a new "Peerie Flock" yarn line, bringing more Shetland yarn to more fiber artists.

Finally, as a farm, we're focusing more on yarn & fiber, and less on poultry & eggs. Not to worry neighbors, there are still tons of excellent local farms in our area to purchase those products from!

We’re going to be at the Ann Arbor Fiber Expo this weekend April 1-2! We’ve got lots of yarn in new weights and hues, both naturally colored and dyed. Hope to see you there!
