It is fitting that this workers' holiday is the day that I tell you that my life is about to include a lot less work: I am closing TrailDrops.

It has been six years since I walked into a LAUNCH class with the skeleton of an idea of the business that I wanted to start. It has been two years since 218 of you (our amazing Kickstarter backers!) funded TrailDrops to move into a commercial kitchen. This allowed us to get permitted for retail and expand our operations. It has been a wild and busy ride with each month bringing new achievements and new challenges, but ultimately the business has not found a sustainable track. Sales rise, but so do expenses and management complexities.

There are so many thank you’s, but especially to YOU - my customers who came back again and again to support a small business that made quality, healthy backpacking meals.

And for now, TrailDrops does still have some meals in stock - please buy us out and get your TrailDrops cravings satisfied for the last time!! It's been real - real fun, real hard, real rewarding! Hope to see you all on the trail!!
