The year of a shift in priorities.

I started 2025 out with a toddler I was still nursing, a 4-year-old who was still coming to my bed every night and more time to show up for all of you here. I’m ending 2025 with a 2.5 year old boy who’s still wildly attached to mom, but who has begun to develop a sense of independence; a 5-year-old who still comes to my bed every night, but who is coming into her own personality and confidence; a lot less time to show up here, coupled with a massive shift in priority.

To say I feel regret for not having done more for B**b Box and this community would be an understatement, but I’m trying not to fester in that. I’ve prioritized my health, opportunities that benefit my family as a whole, my time. I reminisce on the time where B**b Box (and being a mom) were my full focus — that was super fun. I hope one day I can get back to that focus, where it makes sense and benefits my family, too.

For now, I’m still here. I’m still working with moms one-on-one through their feeding journeys, something that brings me SO much joy. I’m still packing boxes, although fewer and farther between (and that’s okay). I’m just…quieter. And slower. And I feel like that’s okay, too.

To all of you who have remained steady in their support of me, of B**b Box, of my family — I cannot even begin to thank you to the fullest extent. You are so appreciated, and I love love love having you here!

I love you and this community and everything B**b Box has brought me and taught me. Here’s to a 2026 full of prioritizing what’s most important, right there in front of you!

Support is so much more than remembering to fill up a new mom’s water if you find it empty (…although that’s important, too).

During a lactation counseling visit I had recently with a new mom, she kept saying things like, “I want to be successful with breastfeeding this time around and my husband is willing to do what it takes to help me reach that goal.” We were talking about things that were going to require financial support, for her husband to step in and watch her older kids while she stepped out with the baby. She needed hands-on support and he was willing to step up to the plate. And not only that — he was cheering her on every step of the way.

THAT is where the magic of success happens ✨

Support is about teamwork, communication, encouragement and picking up the pieces. It doesn’t have to be found in a partner. You can find support in a family member, a friend, a circle of people who are willing to surround you with love. I understand a support system doesn’t exist for some — and that’s why I started B**b Box.

I’m on your side, and I’m willing to step up and be a shoulder for you to lean on. If you’re interested in learning more about B**b Box breastfeeding counseling or the services I can provide, comment SUPPORT and I’ll send you a message 🫶

And I’m curious 👀 what are some ways a person in your life supported you through early postpartum / on your breastfeeding journey? I put some emotional and practical support recommendations in the slides above, but I want you to add on in the comments below!
