Mayor Vi Lyles

I am deeply honored and humbled to be re-elected mayor of our great city - the city of Charlotte. This victory would not have been possible without the unwavering support of each one of you who believed in our vision for a more equitable and diverse future.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my dedicated campaign team and to the countless individuals who cast their votes for me and the democratic council elect members.

Charlotte is a city that acknowledges her history, that disinvested many people of color and this Council will continue to address provide remedies so can we all proudly call this place home. It is my promise to you that I will devote every ounce of my energy to serve all the people of this great city, irrespective of their background or beliefs.

As your mayor, I will work collaboratively with our community including our neighborhoods and businesses. This includes the pressing need for affordable housing and improved mobility solutions, and good paying job opportunities -ensuring that all our residents have the opportunity for a good life.

Again, Charlotte, thank you for allowing me to serve you. On to term four of serving our great city!
