“Clean and Natural beauty” is something I get asked my opinion on a lot. What I’ll say is “organic sounds nice, but it doesn’t mean it’s healthy for your skin, help with acne, or anti-aging. ”
Actually most items marketed as contain oil, avocado oil, or shea butter, which are some of the most pore clogging substances out there!
And, I know there are many of you that LOVE oils. And yes, some are safe - but very few are okay for acne prone skin. The reason why these oils are not recommended even though they are “natural /organic” is due to their molecule weight/size. They do not “fit” inside your skin. Once applied they go into your pore, mix with the bacteria & keratin protein in your skin, and then get clogged up and causes future .
Organic does not = better.
What are your thoughts? Are you a fan of ‘clean beauty’ or are you team ‘evidence based medical grade’?

Do you want a beautiful dewy, young looking complexion? Work on ditching that full face of make - up (especially traditional foundations)! Invest in your skin care, and you won’t feel the need to wear as much make-up- You’ll want to let your skin shine through.
Make- up can be filled with cringe worthy comedogenic ingredients that work against all the hard work you are putting into your skin care routine. I want you to look forward to applying your skincare regimen every morning and evening!
So if you are wanting make the move to cut the foundation out of your life use these tips.
1. Use half the amount of foundation you usually apply and mix with half that amount tinted SPF (medical grade).
2. Slowly start decreasing amount of foundation as you increase SPF amount. Before you know it you’ll be using a tinted SPF as your only make-up.
I see many of you for fillers and neurotoxins and when I remove your make-up, you have beautiful skin and are hiding it behind a “cake face”. Make-up often makes you look OLDER and accentuates fine lines. IF YOUR FEEL like you cannot give up foundation AT LEAST use a medical grade foundation.
Have you ditched the foundation? If so what are your favorite tinted SPFs?

laying some truth down!
・・・
Let me just start by saying I am not posting this to bash CeraVe skincare, after all they are a multi-million dollar company so they are clearly doing something right. But along with many other drugstore brands, here are a few reasons why I don't recommend any of them.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For starters, most over the counter (OTC) brands are formulated to be sold to a wide variety of consumers to only work superficially on the skins surface. They are temporarily cleansing and hydrating the expiring skin cells, aka "dead skin cells". They will never correct the root cause of your skin concerns or activate cellular activity. Therefore, they will make you look "fresh faced" and it may feel good, but really you are just putting a bandaid on the problem.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You get what you pay for. Cheaper products (aka a $7 cleanser) will always have cheaper ingredients & lower concentrations of active ingredients. Just because a product label says it contains Hyaluronic Acid or Vitamin C does not necessarily mean it is created equally. Most of the OTC product concentrations are diluted with , thickeners & comedogenic ingredients. High performance aren't cheap!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For some of you, your dermatologist recommended that CeraVe or cetaphil moisturizer...the fact that it is so gentle, and doesn’t have active ingredients, is exactly why love this stuff. It’s a basic gentle cleanser, so it’s not necessarily going to clear or target signs of , but dermatologists often recommend it for this exact reason. Also because it generally won’t interact with the prescription medications or antibiotics your derm puts you on.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Most people have a specific goal when it comes to their skin. To treat acne, prevent aging, lighten dark spots, ect...in order to obtain these goals, you MUST invest more than $25 on your skincare regimen.💕
