Healing happened at Lake Erie Correctional!

Over the weekend...

For a few hours, prison walls gave way to hugs, laughter, tears, and hope.

One moment stood out: as a mother danced with her son, a father watched from the background. In that simple scene, you could see restoration beginning—hearts healing and families reconnecting.

These men have to tell their mothers that she hasnt done anything wrong for them to be here...

This is why we believe in breaking cycles, strengthening families, and creating opportunities for redemption.

As these children said, Good Bye... the children refused to leave. Tears were flowing on both sides of the fence!

Hope was restored. Healing was present. And lives were changed.

One family at a time. ❤️

He was raised by his grandmother alongside his younger sisters... At just 7 years old, Marvin ran into the arms of his mother in one of Proverbs226 prison event.

Raised by his grandmother alongside his younger sisters, he faced challenges that could have easily defined his future — but instead, they became the fuel that pushed him forward.

Marvin’s journey was not easy. As a first-generation college student, he had to navigate unfamiliar territory without a roadmap.

Today, he stands on the brink of a powerful new chapter — graduating tomorrow from Johnson C. Smith University. He is heading to a prestigious internship in Washington DC over the summer, and then on to a joint program in law and public policy at one of the nation’s top schools.

Marvin’s story stands as a testimony of resilience, hope, and the power of believing beyond your circumstances.
