We lost a real one. If you've been following us since 2018, then you absolutely know the role Squatober and Deadcember play in the culture here at EFP.
was the reason for that. He came onto our staff in 2016 and immediately helped me realize the immense value in adopting traditional powerlifting principles for general application. I never would've thought his influence would have such a huge impact on where our company has gone.
"Double A" allowed me to mentor him. He told me he wanted to learn "my side of the business", the exercise therapy game. I threw everything I had ever learned at him and he absorbed every ounce of it. It wasn't long before he was an absolute force in the coaching game and bigger opportunities came his way.
When he left us in 2019 to join the strength department at University of Nebraska, I was so proud because he told me that what he learned in his tenure at EFP developed him to make an enormous jump to that level. For that reason alone I told him that he was the first ever inductee to the EFP Hall of Fame and he'll be in our family forever.
Every time he and Ivey would come to Charlotte on a visit, he'd always reach out to lift huge or crush beers . I'd look forward to those visits more than anyone knew. I remember the day we both hit 565lbs on the deadlift (slide 4) and I told him I'd never be that strong without his help and knowledge and support. Who knew then that all of that love would continue through the years and ultimately fuel me for a lifetime PR of 635 lbs in December 2023. Go back and look at all my old posts of prior PR's. I'd always tag him so he'd see what he helped build and he'd always DM and say "You made that s**t look easy!"
Strength is never a weakness and my man Andrew proved that. His legacy is a massive one and those shoes will never be filled. The man that he was, the teammates he supported and the gifts he gave us at EFP are why we are so devastated and heartbroken. We'll love you forever brotha!
My daughter and I will be dedicating this year's Squatober campaign to the strongest WuTang loving powerliftier we know, so watch out and don't bet against us!

Another season in the books for the Charlotte Gigantes! After a grueling season in the Charlotte Adult Baseball League, competing in 2 divisions and making the playoffs in both, we finished our season in myrtle beach at the USA Baseball Adult World Series.
This team played their guts out and overcame some last minute roster mishaps to make the quarterfinals and get 6 quality games in 3 days.
Our team took another step forward this year and our pipeline is loaded for future success! Whether we're playing in Charlotte or out of state, i love this team and my teammates are absolutely world class.
Special shout out to the Players Athletic Club for allowing us to train there in season and throughout our off-season. We are thankful for your support.
And of course we wouldn't be able to compete without the industry leading technology from REACT innovations. The most amazing piece of medical technology on the market for musculoskeletal dysfunction lives at Elite Functional Performance, so if you haven't had a treatment yet, book one immediately and get yourself out of pain.
We'll be back in 2026 ready to compete and make waves so watch out and stay tuned!
