Our senior design team were finalists with their creation of the PCE Grind! From start to finish, their journey was that of dedication and hard work. With the support of the Polymers Center Team, President Doug DeSimone and Polymer Science Manager, Yiro Shimabukuro, they built and tested the prototype that would grind plastic chunks and pellets into sand-like powder. We are endlessly proud of our engineering seniors and have no doubt that their futures are bright. Looking forward to learning more about their achievements and happy to be a small part of their journey.

A full house at the Polymers Center this week as we welcome two Extrusion classes!
We’re excited to host Paulson’s ProEx, led by instructor Rick Barnes, teaching practical, real-world skills. The other course, (through our Community College partners), instructor Scott Lambert teaches our Extrusion Processing Fundamentals course, which introduces the very basics of the extrusion process.
