Quick little update and encouragement about the HopeStead project. We have been actively working and building the HopeSteads program and working with UNCC architect design students to development possible designs for these units. This is apart of their class work, developing unique homes with individuals that have experienced homelessness in mind. I’m blown away that we are even able to be apart of this or even have sparked this work! I’m looking forward to seeing the HopeSteads become a reality. The UNC Charlotte City Building Lab is mourning the loss of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She upheld equity and justice for all and the law as a protective, not punishing force. Her voice supported our work and we are saddened by her passing.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Champion Of Gender Equality, Dies At 87 Ginsburg, the second woman to serve on the Supreme Court, died from complications from cancer. Her death will set in motion what promises to be a tumultuous political battle over who will succeed her.
